Swimming

I took the kids to Lincoln pool one late afternoon.  We had so much fun!  I thought I would be out of the neighborhood of Newell students.  Uh, no......I saw 8 kids from Newell and I had taught 4 of them.  :)  A teacher can never escape. :)  One of them said, "Aww, I didn't know you had a belly button ring?!"  Oh geez, I forgot to teach a lesson on that.  I told her that really isn't something I am going to show first graders.  ha ha.

Lily went down the slide MANY times!  I was going to take Hudson down with me and they wouldn't let me.  So, I went down and then he went so I could catch him.  Not good.  He turned on the slide and was face first on his tummy.  He was kinda scared.  I should have not let him....bad mommy move. :(  I hope I didn't ruin him from slides.

I do like their shallow end of the pool.  He felt pretty good in it and Lily could come and go as she pleased.  She wants to go in the deep, but I don't let her yet.  I can't be in both places as once and I know that drives her nuts, but it will have to do for a few more summers.

BBQ and Doniphan Glow Run/Walk

The Divine Dash in Doniphan was changed to a night run in June instead of a morning run in April.  I loved it at night!  I am glad they will be doing it again next year.  I lined up a BBQ that day where we ate and played and then those of us in the walk/run got ready to go.  The mile was at 8:45 and the walk started at 9:00 and then the run was 9:20.  It wasn't dark enough for the glow sticks until halfway through the 5K.

The boys were a ball of fun!  ha ha

I know I have said it many times, but I love being in a culdesac.  Its great to let the kids ride and run in front of the house and have plenty of room.

Playing washers

Lots of yummy food!

Getting ready!

Maguire and Lily are off!

Guire won the mile!

Lily finishing!! :)

I am so glad we had a crew!  :)

Virg and Hud were the only walkers, but Guire and Lily walked halfway until they saw Gma and Gpa.

Matt finished with a time of: 22:57

I finished with a time of 25:03.  The 2nd picture is me fully exhausted!  :)  I beat my best time by almost 2 minutes!!!!  That is crazy to me.  Now I really have to kick it in gear if I want to beat 25 minutes.  Geez!

We did it!!!

Lily and Rylen enjoying their free smoothies!

Maguire had fun pushing Morgan and Lily around until they broke it!  ha ha

Maguire won $10!

Aunt Gig doing selfies!

So much fun!

Me and my babe!
I am loving that we are running together....he is much faster, but who is keeping track?!
Hopefully we can do more runs together!

Putting glow sticks together!

Maguire and Gigi stayed with us and then Mav came back early in the morning.

Hudson has to be tackling, hipping, giving head locks, or chasing his cousins.

Oh no!

Love it!

I am excited for the Glow run next year!

**June odds and ends**

I have so many pictures from June!

Hud is sportin' his new cut off shirt.  ha ha

Lily giving me a puppet show while I work out on the elliptical.  Her name is: Handarm.  Creative,  huh?

He makes me supper while I work out.  He was showing me the spankin' spatula.  That is all daddy's doing!

Wanting to swim outside, but a little chilly

Loving their first books from the city library.

Hudson painting while I get our garage sale ready.

Trying to slide down the stairs on Hudson's beanbag chair.

As much as I try to keep Oasis out, she still gets in.  She snuck right passed me and laid in the pool.  I think its so funny how she even dunks her head under.

One day after Lily's playground pals, we got a parfait from McDonald's and played at a park.  We didn't have long before we had to leave for her softball game in Loup City.

There were other kids at the park.  I love seeing kids play together.  Its amazing how kind and accepting they are as complete strangers.

Pushing me on the merry-go-round.

Love

My flowers bloomed.  I have discovered that their blooms only last a day or so.  :(

Fun at Hobby Lobby

I loved my last Stitch Fix.  I didn't keep it all even though I wanted to.  I kept the skirt and the black and gray sweater.  If you are interested in starting, here is my referral information https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/4688286

Swimming and ice-cream!

Lily had cheer camp from 9-3 for two days.

A fat toad stuck in the screen.  Our neighbor boy, Rylen got him out for us! :)

Library fun!

I love that Lily is enjoying reading like me!  I have noticed with my own child that reading during summer time is hard.  She would rather be outside playing.  Urgh!  Now I totally get it.....all those kids I tell to read over the summer and it just doesn't happen.  :(

We organized our toys and they discovered the basketball hoop.  Hudson doesn't know the rules and asked if basketball is when we tackle.  ha ha

We watched Maguire run at a Grand Island meet.  He ran the 100m and the 800m while we were there.  He did great and got his personal best!  He had also done softball throw and long jump (I think).

Well, there are my odds and ends!

I still have a few posts to make before July starts.  Yikes!!  That is tomorrow!  My to do list is getting longer and longer.  Clean, college courses, blog, play, read, laundry, play room, think of school.......noooooo!, pack for O'Neill, get ready for our vacay in Florida.........yay!!!, and probably more that I haven't even thought of.
