St. Patrick's Day celebrations!

On Friday evening we went up to O'Neill for our St. Pat's celebration with Matt's family.

On Saturday morning, Matt, Emily, and I ran in the Shamrock Fun Run (2.5 miles)

We ran in to Matt's cousin, Melissa.

After our run!  We did it! :)

I got 62nd out of 167
4th out of females in my age group
13 out of 83 women

It was fun and will probably do it again! :)

We went back to Mark and Jackie's and got ready for the parade.

All decked out in green.
Hudson had just been put on some medicine for his allergies and they have made him SOOOOO active and grumpy.

Love them!

Where is the candy?!  :)

The famous green horse.

We went back and relaxed for most of the day.  That is a lot different than the past St. Pat's!  :)  We have gotten boring in our old age.  We ended up going to a party of people that Mark works with.

In the morning, Matt wanted to shoot his gun.  The weather was beautiful!

LOVE!

They look alike, don't they?!

Checking the target for any hits.

We were all outside!

Fun Times!

Beginning of ride

End of ride!  :)

Such a fun weekend! :)

We made St. Pat's snacks for their friends.

On Tuesday, Grandma and Sydney picked up Lily.  They had a good afternoon and then we came and picked her up.

The kids enjoyed playing "cows" together.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Girls Trip *Spring Break '15

We had our 3rd annual girl's trip during Spring Break.  We went to Lincoln this year during the week.  John and Laurie let us stay in their condo downtown, so it worked out really well.  We left on a Wednesday and came back on Friday.  It was really nice not to have a schedule and we were able to relax.

First stop....Pedicures!

We made it to the condo and I had to show them the balcony  It was a beautiful day. :)

I think one of the best parts is getting ready.  It reminds me of college days....getting ready with all the roomies.

First night!

First we went to Blue Sushi...Yum!

Erin and I split all of these.  :)

We then went to a bar for a few drinks.  Our night was pretty low key but nice. :)

On Thursday, we were able to take our time getting ready, got coffees, and off to lunch.  We met up with our friend, Kaycee!  She lives in Lincoln now and it worked out perfect for her to come eat with us.

We then went to the mall and to the outlet mall in Gretna.  I definitely spent my share!  :)

We made it back and got ready again for another night out!

Love them!
I have said before how much I love these girls?  Friends are the best.

You can see the stadium behind us

We ate at Lazlo's and then went to a Piano bar.  I didn't even know that Lincoln had one.  Wherever we go....we go to Piano Bars. :)  ha ha!

We had another great night!

Thank you for another great trip, girls! :)

Weekend

Friday night was the Newell Fun Fest.  My kids always enjoy going.  It is a well run fun fest.......crowded, but fun!

When Matt got there, we soon had to work the Toilet Toss for an hour.  Lily chased toilet paper for the whole hour.  Hudson got bored and Matt was chasing him around.  ha ha.  I saw many of my past students....sure made me feel old!  ha ha

They earned enough tickets to get a few little toys.  Great job Newell PTA!

On Saturday, Lily and Hudson went to another cattle show in GI while I went to Hayley bridal shower in Gibbon.  Lily ended up being really tired and had a fever, so we took it easy that day.

Can you tell what Hudson is doing?  He found the handle to the shovel in the backyard and we saw him "showing" Oasis the cow.  He is rubbing her belly and moving her legs like Mav and Guire do with their steers.  He is so creative!  ha ha

Virgie sent me this adorable pic of Hudson.
It just makes me smile!!!

Sunday morning, Lily still wasn't feeling well.  She got out of her funk a little later so we took Oasis for a walk while Matt ran.

Oasis must have licked Hudson, because he sneezed about 10 times and his eye got all swollen.  I hope this isn't an indicator of our Spring.  :(

I looked over and they were holding hands.  I love my little love bugs.

Well, this morning (Monday) started my Spring Break.  Lily woke up with a little fever again.  I kept her home until about 10:30 and then took her in to school because she was feeling better.  I hope she makes it.

Hud and I are hanging out and I can officially say I have CAUGHT up on the blog!!!!!!  Wow, one thing off my list.
