Our Elsbury clan is growing!!!!!

For those of you that know us well, we have been praying for a baby for a long time.  God has now blessed us with a baby!!!  I am now 13 weeks 3 days.  Baby #2 is due on May 3rd!  Perfect time for a teacher, huh?! :)  I have been a nervous wreck for the first 12 weeks.  It was so hard losing a baby, that I couldn't bare the thought of it happening again.  My doctor kept a close eye on me the first few weeks of our pregnancy.  That is why we had an ultrasound at 6 weeks (Sept 8th) and 8 weeks (Sept 22nd).  Everything looked great at both and were told not to worry.  My doctor had told me that my Thyroid was the reason we lost the other baby, so I have been getting that tested every 4 weeks.  I have had to increase my dosage every time.  I am so glad she knows what we need to do to make sure this baby is healthy.

On October 20th, we told Lily the great news!!!!!  We used the pumpkins on our front step to explain it to her.  We had a "Daddy, Mommy, and Lily" pumpkin already on the step, so I told her to get the little pumpkin to add to the bottom of the steps.  She knew it was for a baby, but it took some explaining that it was for a baby in Mommy's tummy.  She has been praying for a baby and has been asking to be a big sister, so we knew this was going to be exciting for her!!!

We had her wear her "Big Sis" shirt to Heather's on Friday.  Heather saw it right away and was very excited!!!  

I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to be a mom to another baby!  

God has definitely answered our prayers.

Amelia Rea

On October 13th, one of my best friends had her baby, Amelia Magdalene.  We were able to go visit her in Lincoln on Sunday.  She is such a cutie!  Congratulations Erin and Brian!  Amelia is lucky to have parents like you!

Doesn't Lily look good holding a baby?!?  She absolutely loves babies.

Vala's Pumpkin Patch 2011

Lily and I had a great weekend with Virgie and the Ferzely's.  I had class in Fremont while Lily hung out with Aunt Gigi and Syd.  We then went to Disney Live.  I will post pics when I figure out how to get them off of my phone with out taking forever!  :)  

On Sunday morning, we went to Vala's Pumpkin patch.  It is right outside of Gretna.  It is amazing!  We had tons of fun!  Look at all the fun we had!

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is one of the reasons that Fall is my favorite season.  It is fun to watch the kids at a pumpkin patch.  Their smiles tell it all!!!

Lily's big girl hair cut!

I had Friday off, so Lily and I got to hang out all day.  The plan was to go out to eat, get her hair cut, and go shopping!  I love these days with Lily.  Poor daddy had to work :(

We then did a little modeling to get the 'before' pictures!

We ate at Freddy's and then wen to Indulge for her hair cut.  Kayla cut it and did a great job.  This mommy almost teared up when she made the first cut.  I couldn't believe how much hair was on the floor!!!  We had only cut Lily's hair once before.  That was around Christmas time.  Take a look at her new do!

I think it makes her look so grown up!!!

We then had more time in our afternoon, so we went to ride with Grandpa in the combine.  He was picking beans.

Husker games

We got to go to the Husker football game against the Washington Huskies.  Eliza's whole family went too, because they got club level tickets from work.  We had a great time.  Dad, Matt, and I went to Barry's first and then went to Old Chicago with the Ferzely's.

Matt claims that this is one of the only times Syd has let him hold her.  We had to get a picture to capture the moment! :)

 

I got a picture of the band, but didn't take any of the game, ha ha!  Huskers won!  We had a  fun time!

 

We watched another Husker game at our neighbors' house.  Lily and Rylen love to play together.  We found a chair like Lily's at Cabela's, so we bought it for Rylen.  The enjoyed lounging in their chairs while we watched the game. :)

Huskers did not do so hot against Wisconsin.  Hopefully they pull it together for the game tonight against Ohio State.  Go Huskers!!!
