National Junior Angus Show

Maverick and Maguire have 3 pure break Angus heifers that they took tot eh National Junior Angus Show.  It was at the State Fair grounds in Grand Island this year.  It was a huge show with about 40 states represented.  The boys had their calves there about a week.  They stayed with us most nights so they didn't have to drive all the way back to Kearney.

We went a couple times to visit them.  In fact, Lily went the first day early in the morning and helped them.  Hudson was sure to dress in his cowboy clothes when we visited. :)

After the calves stayed there all week, they finally showed them on Friday.  Maverick and Guire had to show two of their calves in the same class.

They look good boys!

Mav's heifer got 6th and Guire's got 8th.

Trimming the last calf.  Lily is scratching her to keep her calm.

Between the classes, we walked around with Aunt Laurie to the shops and silent auctions they had set up.

This was in the silent auction.  My kids fell in love with it.  Maybe we can make one similar someday.

Maverick was showing their last calf.  Doesn't this picture just melt your heart?!?  Hudson absolutely loves his cousins!!!  I couldn't ask for better role models for him. :)  I believe Mav's calf got 7th in this class.
