Day #1
When John bought a Jeep, Matt and him were already planning the first Jeep ride. Then, when they discovered Ryan and Brian have Jeeps, it was like Christmas! :) So, the first day we were going to Genoa to ride on the Loup and then go on some trails.
John was able to trailer both of them. That was awesome because it isn't much fun to get to your destination at only 55 mph.
We arrived at Ryan and Julie's and then met up with a bunch of their friends at the Loup.
We thought it was funny, because we stopped right away under the bridge. This group likes to stop a lot and chat. :)
Mav and Lily went to check the water along with Guire and Jackson.
I love when the water is just deep enough to put my foot into it. It wasn't too deep though.
We stopped at this dam. The kids were able to swim for awhile because we just parked all the jeeps and hung out.
Laurie and I trying to get our tan.
Bury Lily time!
Jeep talk....ha ha
I really enjoyed the Loup. The sand was soft and white.
We headed back the other way.......
Poor John!
Everybody stopped while he got pulled out. Leave it to the rookie to get stuck. ha ha. Our first time Jeepin' a few years ago was worse. We got stuck many times!
Time for a photo shoot.
Lily and Tricia. Tricia is my cousin Marci's little girl. Lily and her are just a couple months apart.
We then went to the trails. A Genoa farmer that loves to Jeep has created trails on his land. It is surround by trees and they are really steep. I will be honest, I was very nervous. We were able to make it up and down all of them. Lily actually enjoyed them. John's Jeep didn't make it up one of the hills and rolled down fast into a tree. It bent his back door. :(
This cross is at the top of the hill.
Again, they stopped to chat. ha ha! We were all getting tired and hungry. We ate at Ryan's and then headed home because we knew we had another full day of Jeepin' in the morning. John, Laurie, and the boys stayed with us too!
Day #2
We loaded up the Jeeps again and went to Central City. There was a Poker Run that we knew about....so that was the plan!
The used the winch to try to bend back John's door so they could at least get to their cooler. ha ha!
Our first stop! Hudson loved loved loved the sand. He was so easy if you just give him a bucket and shovel and set him down. The kids all loved it!
We went to the card stops and got our cards. Matt was doing good, he had three 6's. The Ferzely's were on their way to Mom and Dad's, so I convinced them to come and get in with us. We met them along the river and they were able to fit in the 4 Jeeps.
Delanie learning to drive in water!
Mav was itching to drive both days.
Delanie and Hudson loved playing together.
Do you like our umbrella? Hudson was able to stay nice and cool. He even took a nap again. :)
This is how Matt relaxes!
I love this picture! They don't look like they are having fun at all, do they?
Pretend drivin!
Eliza, me, Laurie, and Julie
I didn't put a swim diaper on him all the time, I would just let the regular diaper balloon up, ha ha! So, Matt rinsed him off because he was covered in sand. :)
A successful Widdowson Cousin Jeep Ride!
