Happy Anniversary!!!!
Mark and Jackie were married on June 27, 1981. They have been married 28 years! Congratulations! We hope you have a wonderful day!
Love, Matt, Abby, and Lily
We are working very hard on our bathroom today! We spent a ton at Home Depot (toilet, sink, shower door, fixtures, etc.) and are seeing the end in sight now. We have the tile on the floor and the walls painted. Matt just took out the drywall above the tub so we can tile the shower. I am so excited to see it! We have a lot more to do, but it is nice to have some time on the weekends to get it done. I will post pictures when it is finished.

Why were we out when it was 100 degrees?!?
Lily and I just wanted to get out of the house and have some fun. I heard it was hot out, but MAN, it was REALLY hot out. At one point my car said 104 degrees. The radio had said 101. Crazy!!!! Lily and I had a great afternoon. We went to a park and fed the geese and played on the playground. Then we cooled off in the city library!
She wanted the goose to come to her and get the bread instead of throwing it out in the water.
A little close to the water Lily!
Lots of em'
The playground was really close, so we went over there for a little bit. At this point, I am melting, but Lily could care less that it was over 100. She is definitely like a Widdowson when she gets hot. Her face was beat red!!! She loved the playground, but the slides were too hot and those are what she loves the most.
Since it was so hot, we had to end our time in the sun. I hadn't taken Lily to the library yet and had heard that they had neat things for little kids. We spent some time there and then told all the big stuffed animals bye bye.

Lily is telling me a story about the geese!
She knew that she didn't want to give them a whole piece, so she would just rip the bread apart and lay it all in one spot. Then she would yell "Goose, mere," and point to her bread pile. She was so much fun to watch.

I need to get Lily one of these toddler computer programs. She loved it!
I don't know why I picked the hottest day of the summer to feed the geese and play, but we loved it anyway. Have I written yet that I love being home with Lily?!?

Our Super Father's Day Fun
The Elsbury's had a great Father's Day. We started the day with a nice breakfast (Abby's special eggs, bacon, and toast). Lily got Matt a camping stove. He is excited to use it, now it needs to cool down a little so we can go camping. We then got ready for our day by lathering Lily up with sunscreen for our jeep drive. Matt took us to the cabin and then we went to Kearney. With all the wind, sun, and noise, Lily managed to get a little nap in. We ate lunch and then went shopping at Target. So, we have the jeep and we haven't gone muddin' yet. Matt drove us to Mom and Dad's. With the rain lately, we thought we could find some mud somewhere. Lily was happy to stay with Gpa and Gma.
Up by the pasture we finally found a muddy road!!! I doubted that Matt could get us through.

This picture does not do it justice.
This was after our first time through the water. Also, before my hair was covered in mud. :)
A little mud never hurt anyone! Happy Father's Day honey!
We were kinda stuck at this point, so we took a picture!
On our way out, we scared out a bull that was probably watching us the whole time. I don't know how we didn't see him.
Matt had so much fun. We were impressed that the jeep got us back home.

Girls just wanna have fun!
Saturday, a few of us girls threw Shelley Hansen a bridal shower. She gets married on July 11th. We had a lot of fun at the shower. After the shower a few of us girls went to get pedicures.
Kaycee, Abby, Shelley, Erin, Asia
Our pretty toes!!!
That night Shelley and Freddie, Brian and Asia, and Matt and I went out to keep celebrating. These girls are so much fun!
Thanks Freddie. Toast to Shelley!!!
Me and the beautiful bride to be!
Kitties, Sprinkler, and "pretties"
I love that I don't have to work in the summer. Lily and I went and visited Grandpa, Grandma, and Gigi in Gibbon because Matt was going to be in Oklahoma. Gig took us down South to ride in the tractor with Papa. Lily loves the tractor! We then went to Mom and Dad's house and rested. I asked Lily to just lay on the floor and take a nap (not thinking she really would) and SHE DID!
So precious!
Kiki had babies the night or morning before we were there. She had them in Grandma's flower garden by the door. There are 3 babies, they are so cute.
Swing time with Gigi!
Searching for the kitties.
A day old kitty.
Grandma's new sprinkler ball. Lily wouldn't run passed it by herself, so Gigi and I took her.
Lily and Mama
Lily getting her nails painted. She calls them her "pretties." She even shows her pretties to complete strangers when we are shopping. After Mama was done with her nails, Lily took her foot out and insisted Mama paint those too! I think we have a girly girl on our hands.
Cute pictures of Lily Jo!
Lily is becoming a beautiful little GIRL now! What a cute smile!
She HAD to help mommy make supper. It was either this or whine while hanging on to mommy's leg.
Lily has also taken on a clown role. She likes to put on Daddy's hats and our shoes. I need to get her dress up things, but she just has too much fun with our things. ha ha :)
I thought the Elsbury Clan viewers would like to see some cute pictures of the star of this Blog. If you want to know when I update the blog, just become a "follower" on the right hand side of the blog. It will send you an email letting you know. Thank you Kim and Amy for being my followers. I love to check your blogs as well. Its kinda addicting! :) Also, feel free to leave comments.

Now, I was looking back at old posts, and can you believe that yesterday, June 17th, marked a year since I started "Elsbury Clan?" Wow, time flies. I really hope the world wide web keeps this up and running forever and ever. Wouldn't it be fun for Lily and the rest of our family to look back on it and laugh? I know I already do!

More Stuff
I had meetings all last week, so Lily was at daycare and then on Friday, she spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa. My meetings went well, a little boring, but now my summer has started. Friday morning, Jessica came over and worked the garage sale all day. Matt and I had a bunch of furniture and clothes and Jessica had a ton of Landon's baby clothes. Lily and I then worked the garage sale on Saturday. We did pretty well. We have a brown recliner left if someone is interested. :)
Our next project is the bathroom. We are going to tile the floor and shower/tub and also paint the walls. We are wanting to change the counter top to the vanity as well. Its a lot of work, but it will look so nice when we are done.

Lily was wanting to help Daddy put the cement board down, but the drill was too loud! :)
So, she sat in the hallway with me just watching Daddy!
Video from the zoo that I thought was cute.
Matt and I were both surprised that she would even go into the tree roots. So, to see her enjoy it and not want to come out, was cute. Then she ran off like she owned the Jungle! ha ha

Delanie's B-day party in Gibbon
Since we were all at Grandma and Grandpa's it was a good time to celebrate Lanie's birthday. So, the following pictures are some from the day. I didn't get any pictures of Delanie's birthday cookie, but it was adorable. She helped Grandma make it into a ladybug. She also had a pinata.

Matt has been so excited to drive his jeep in the mud. He had two perfect passengers with him that did not care if they got dirty. The weather was kinda crummy, but they managed to have tons of fun and got the jeep the dirties it has been.
Pinata Time
Delanie went first, but I did not get a picture. Sorry Lanie!

Maverick finally got it. Were you peeking, Maverick??
Gigi, what are you doing? Are you taking the kids' candy?
We had a fun family filled day!

Cattlemen's Ball
Two years ago, the Cattlemen's Ball was at John and Laurie's ranch. It is such an awesome fundraiser for cancer.
The Cattlemen's Ball was in Doniphan this year. Since it was so close to home, we decided to go and take Virgie with us. Mom and Dad had all the grandkids at their house. Isn't that nice?!? John, Laurie, Eliza and Scott were already planning on going. They seemed to have a wonderful turnout. Suzy, from my work was in charge of all the volunteers and she did a wonderful job. In fact, there were a lot of Newell teachers working while I was there. We hung out in the casino tent most of the time.
Later there was a nice meal and the Craig Morgan concert. ReNae and Casey were there too, so we hung out with them. It was nice to see them, it had been awhile.

Henry Doorly Zoo
A couple of Fridays ago, Matt took the day off and took his girls to the zoo. We had a great day as a family. It was neat to see Lily observe all the animals. She absolutely loved the monkeys and kitties (lions and tigers). Below are some pictures from our day.
A lot of the animals were sleepy when we were there. Here is a gorilla sleeping.
She was yelling, "mon-key, mon-key!"
Looking at penguins.
Matt and I were both surprised that Lily went inside the branches. She liked it and could maneuver quite well. :)
Feeding the fish!
I think she was too tired to really enjoy her first carousel ride.
Lily fell asleep right after we left the zoo parking lot. We had a big day!
