Jeep Jamboree 2012

Once again, Matt worked hard on the jeep prior to the jeep jamboree.  He got it finished Friday evening for the jamboree on Saturday. :)  Grandma Jackie and Aunt Emily came to watch the kids for the day.  Matt and I had our very own "date day."  It was nice and relaxing.

The river was quite dry as you can see from the picture.  Last year we didn't even come to the Jamboree because it was too deep.  This was sad to see.  We participated in the poker run.  They had five destinations to drive to.  Both of our hands weren't too woopie, so we didn't win.

This was our last poker hand stop.  We stayed under the bridge with other jeepers because it actually started raining.

We made it back to Ron's for the annual group picture.
They had to use a bucket truck to take our picture.  We are finally going to order this picture so we will get to see how many jeeps were actually there.  It seemed like they had a good turnout even with out water!
 Off to find some water!

Found a little water!!!
Of course Matt has to go through every bit of water he sees!  We got a little wet the first time, but then he put the cover on and we were good.  There wasn't much water, so we didn't have to take cover too often, ha ha!
Our little date!!!
Matt had a wonderful idea to go home on the river.  So, we traveled West on the river to Doniphan.  WE figured it afterwards that it was 30+ miles.  It was fun to see and we got to see some wildlife.  It was a beautiful evening.

We saw 5 eagles on a tree and once they spotted us, they started flying around.  It was very neat.

We also saw 3 deer, but I couldn't get a good picture of them.  We finally got to the Doniphan bridge around 9:30 (way later than we were thinking).  Josh knows a land owner there, so he was able to let us out through a gate.  We ended up having a fun day/night!!  That is our 3rd Jeep Jamboree and we hope next year there is water and some friends/family can join us!
