I have butter-fingers.......aw man!

While Lily and I were at Walmart on Saturday, I thought I heard my phone ring.  One second I had my phone, then I didn't.  It went flying onto the floor.  I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it!  I think I just stared for a few seconds before grabbing it.  I instantly tried to see if it worked....it does.  It is a touch screen, so I had to touch it to call.  It left little glass shards in my thumb.  Urgh!!!  Silly me, I don't even think I have insurance on it.  I came home and put the clear sticker cover on so the glass stays put.
It still works, so I can't complain.......but it is not a pretty phone to look at.  ha ha!

Awesome purchase

I love love love our new storm door!  It lets in so much light and we enjoy letting the air flow in on the rare cool days we have had.

Grandma Darla

Great Grandma Darla made this pillow for Lily's birthday.

Matt's Grandma Darla passed away on Saturday, August 11th.  She was such a wonderful woman.  My grandparents passed away while I was in college and shortly after, so I have been missing my grandparents.  Darla treated me like I was her own.  We absolutely loved her cards for birthdays, Anniversaries, V-Day, and even my graduation.  She has so many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren that I am amazed she remembered to send everyone their special cards and gifts.

Her funeral was on Thursday in Atkinson, NE.  It was nice to see all the family and to celebrate the life of Darla.  We will miss her!!!

I so wish I had a picture with Great Grandma Darla and Hudson, but she was not feeling well the last time we saw her.  We will tell him about the wonderful Great Grandma he had.

Jeep Jamboree 2012

Once again, Matt worked hard on the jeep prior to the jeep jamboree.  He got it finished Friday evening for the jamboree on Saturday. :)  Grandma Jackie and Aunt Emily came to watch the kids for the day.  Matt and I had our very own "date day."  It was nice and relaxing.

The river was quite dry as you can see from the picture.  Last year we didn't even come to the Jamboree because it was too deep.  This was sad to see.  We participated in the poker run.  They had five destinations to drive to.  Both of our hands weren't too woopie, so we didn't win.

This was our last poker hand stop.  We stayed under the bridge with other jeepers because it actually started raining.

We made it back to Ron's for the annual group picture.
They had to use a bucket truck to take our picture.  We are finally going to order this picture so we will get to see how many jeeps were actually there.  It seemed like they had a good turnout even with out water!
 Off to find some water!

Found a little water!!!
Of course Matt has to go through every bit of water he sees!  We got a little wet the first time, but then he put the cover on and we were good.  There wasn't much water, so we didn't have to take cover too often, ha ha!
Our little date!!!
Matt had a wonderful idea to go home on the river.  So, we traveled West on the river to Doniphan.  WE figured it afterwards that it was 30+ miles.  It was fun to see and we got to see some wildlife.  It was a beautiful evening.

We saw 5 eagles on a tree and once they spotted us, they started flying around.  It was very neat.

We also saw 3 deer, but I couldn't get a good picture of them.  We finally got to the Doniphan bridge around 9:30 (way later than we were thinking).  Josh knows a land owner there, so he was able to let us out through a gate.  We ended up having a fun day/night!!  That is our 3rd Jeep Jamboree and we hope next year there is water and some friends/family can join us!

Cousin love

Sydney came to play with us last week and stayed the night.  The two of them had sooo much fun.  Then they went to Grandpa and Grandma's and then Lodgepole.

Morning bedhead! :)

Hudson decided to roll over from tummy to back this day!  (August 8th)  He has done that before in his crib when he is really mad.  But, today he did it on purpose.  I made him do it over and over so I could get it on film.  He was crying by the end of it, ha ha!

Sydney was so interested in Hudson and was excited to hold him.  We had to send this picture to her mommy and daddy!

Hudson 3 months!

Hudson is now 3 months old!!!  Crazy!!!

He is so much fun!  He will smile back at me and I can tell he LOVES me!  He has the cutest dimple on his right cheek.  He still kicks his legs a lot when he gets excited.  He has also discovered that his fingers are yummy!  We try to put the binky in instead, but he is not interested in that unless he is very tired.  On August 8th (My last day of summer), Hudson rolled over from tummy to back while he was happy.  The reason I say that is because he has done this a few times already, but he has been very mad and accidentally flipped over.  ha ha  I rolled him back over many times so he could do it again and I could get proof on video and he would do it.  He was screaming, but he did it!!!  ha ha  He does like to eat and I am not sure this mommy is going to be able to keep up with him.  I sure hope I can, even though my free time at school will be spent with my pump :(

Here are some cute pictures of Hudson in the last few weeks.  You can just see his personality coming out!!!

I put this picture on my desk!  I love his little tongue!

He hasn't quite figured out what he should do with his hands while he is in this thing.  Do you see it hanging down with his legs??  :)

Favorite position these days: Standing!

Hudson and Groovy bear!  (My first graders take Groovy Bear home and write about what they did.  So, I do it too!)

Hmmmmmm, what trouble can I get in to??

Still loves bath time!!!

Daddy likes putting Hudson in weird positions.  We have a picture of him doing this to Lily too!

My loves in their jammies!!!!

I came back into the bathroom to see little mommy taking care of him!

Getting hugs from little bro

Just look how he looks at her!  Priceless!

And...how he looks at mommy!  :)  He has the cutest pouty face.

And then happy two seconds later.  What a stinker!

I had to get him all handsome for his 3 month pictures at Walmart.  I am excited to get them, there were a few cute ones.

My he has grown!

I wish I could stay home longer with this little guy.  I am so lucky that I have gotten to be home with him for so long!  Just typing about him, I smile!  He definitely tugs at my heart! :)

Back to School Picnic

Last Friday we had our back to school picnic at Stolley Park.  Quite a few of the staff came.  It was nice to socialize even though we have seen each other a lot this summer.  It gave our husbands and kids some time to visit and play as well.

Lily, Will, and Ady chasing each other.

Ady and Lily!  As I have been working on Lily's shutterfly books, I have found a lot of pictures of these two sweethearts.  So cute!

The big kids waiting for the train ride!
**Jadyn and Landon were not wanting to take a picture.  I took this picture just moments before Landon fell off the bench.  Poor guy!  He was all smiles once he got on the train though! :)

I bet Clint secretly wanted to ride ;)

I stayed behind with Hudson and took pictures.

Little man had too much fun watching!  :)

Next year, Hudson will be chasing all the big kids.

It is so hard to believe my summer is over.  I enjoyed being with my kids soooo much and it will be hard to get back into the work routine.
