2nd day of celebrating the 4th!

July 3rd was Laurie's birthday! We had a great time celebrating with her. We arrived at Mom and Dad's for pizza on the porch. The kids swam in the pool, played basketball, lit fireworks, and much more. I am so glad Lily has a close relationship with each of her cousins. Some of us then took the kids out to Grandpa's field where he has a lot of mud at the end (thanks to some nice rains!). It has become kind of a tradition to play in the mud for the 4th of July. Last year, Lily wanted nothing to do with the mud or water.

Maverick and Maguire are so much fun to watch! They were chasing each other and tackling one another in the mud. Caden and Delanie got dirty, but they had more fun watching. Caden did finally tackle Delanie. Sydney and Lily, well, they were content just standing there.

Mav asked Lily if he could write her name on her back. She will let Mav do anything. Then he did a handprint on her belly, uh, that didn't go over well! :)

We hauled the kids back in a trailer behind the jeep. Yuck! To be a kid again, right?!?
