Lily is a 2nd grader!

Lily is now a 2nd grader!  Open House was on the Thursday before school started.  Lily, Hudson, and I got to meet Mrs. Zysset.

She was very excited to get Mrs. Zyssett.  Here is to a great year.

We then were able to get slushies at the slushie truck in the school parking lot.

I can't believe she is a 2nd grader!

She was so ready for this day!

Daddy was able to take her to school that morning.  :)

Good luck in school this year Lily!!!

She wants to be a First Grade teacher when she grows up.

My 11th year of Teaching

It is hard to believe the school year is here again.  (ha ha....okay the 1st quarter is almost done by now, but really that is still soooo crazy!)  Every year, I do feel like I have a better idea of how I want my room and how I want to start the year.  But......it still takes me forever!  ha ha

I didn't step foot into the school until July 20th.  That is a record for me.  Whoop Whoop!  For those of you not in our building, we have to put everything on one side of our room in May.  The custodians shampoo the carpets and then move everything to the other side of the room.  Ugh!  It's such a pain.

I was supposed to get a new white board over the summer, but the crew ran out of time.  Now, October, they do have it done and I LOVE it!!!  :)

That looks like a lot of fun, doesn't it!?!

My room will never be this clean again! :) ha ha

Enjoy the transformation of my classroom.

Getting closer!

New easel and rug that I am really excited about. :)

Finally done and ready for the kiddos!

Our opening ceremony was at GISH again.  I sat by all my peeps. :)  I guess if I have to start work again, it might as well be with the greatest friends ever!

We are missing a few, but my arm isn't that long.  ha ha

My first day of school! I still get a little nervous on my first day, but it is so much fun to see them in their new school outfits and excited to get out their school supplies.

Here they are!!!!  I present to you the class of 2027!  (Wow, that's crazy!)

Beautiful flowers from my hubby the first week of school :)

Now, I know you are jealous....look at this wonderful staff!  We really do have it made at Newell.  Here's to another fun year!
**We are a fourth of the way done!**

Jeep Jamboree '15 in St. Paul

We went to Jeep Jamboree again this year.  It was different because the location was St. Paul vs. Central City.  They thought the Platte would be too full so they had scheduled it in St. Paul.  Because of the location and the area to put campers, we decided that would be fun this year.  We also had a few new peeps come which made it a great time!  Josh and his buddy came and The Olson's.

Hudson and his friend Kanton.  These two and Lily and Kaleah took turns in each vehicle. :)

We did the poker run and so we had time to stop through out the day to swim and play. :)

This was Josh's first Jamboree.  I think he enjoyed it. :)

Nick got stuck a few times. ha ha

Courtney waving.  Hud was in there now.

The girls started squirting people we drove by.  They had a great time with that.

Waiting for the picture.

Courtney and I.  Since Lily and Kaleah were on the same softball team, Courtney and I were able to get to know each other a little.  Its been fun to have another friend in town. :)

Still waiting for the picture. :)

This was the final picture.  We order these and have them on the wall in the basement.  Its crazy how many Jeeps come out for this. :)

So relaxing to hang out in the river with a drink in hand.  It was such a nice day, too.

Kenton caught a little minnow with the net.

Such a fun time.  The picture says it all! :)

Hudson's highlight.

This is just one angle of the campers, trailers, and Jeeps by the river.  I am curious if they got an aerial pictures with the drone.

We grilled at the camper that night and then the Olson's stayed the night with us.  We were quite cozy in the camper, but it worked great.  :)  In the morning, they left and we wanted to take the Jeep out one more time before we left.  Not very many people were out, most loaded up their Jeeps and campers to go home.  So, we ended up getting into some deep water.  :(

Definitely water where it shouldn't be.  Yikes!!!  Some nice guys pulled us out and then we sat for awhile to drain out some of the water.  I think Matt gets us into these predicaments on purpose.  ha ha.  Me and the kids had to stand on the seats so we didn't get wet.

Another fun Jamboree in the books.  :)
