The storm started rolling in.....

Snuggled in the basement.....we were lucky the storms weren't as bad as they were thinking.

Lily and I set up a reading challenge for her.  We have been going to the Library every Friday after Lily's gymnastics.  They both enjoy getting books of their choice.  I just finished my 4th book today.  I have a hard time putting the book down once I start reading.  :)

I came out of the shower and he found daddy's socks and sandal.  He is set!

Tuesdays have been our picnic day.  This Tuesday was just in our driveway!

We then went swimming at the Snake Pool afterwards with Megan and Ashley and their girls.

Fullerton Triathlon

We signed up for the Fullerton Triathlon!  Matt's cousin's girlfriend and his cousin are the two that put on the Triathlon.  We wanted to try it out.

Matt - Bikes almost 4 miles

We both canoe 7 miles

Abby - runs 2 miles (part of it is a hiking trail that seriously goes straight up...awful!)

Matt did great biking!  He came in about 10-15th, I am not sure.  We quickly jumped into the canoe.  It was difficult to canoe.  The river was shallow in some spots.  Matt had to get out and push us a few times.  I got out once and helped.  Our arms were definitely sore at the end.

Getting out so I can run!

The trail was seriously hard.  There is no way you can run it.  You have to get your footing and climb.  Once you get to the top, you run a little on grass and then back down.  That is dangerous too.  If you weren't careful you would roll down. :)  Luckily I made it!

This picture says it all.  I knew I was in front of this guy.  I didn't realize he was sprinting and was almost beating me.  I saw him and stuck my neck out.....yes!  We beat his team by .02 seconds.  ha ha!  His partner works with Matt and they had bet each other they would win.  Geez!  Had I known he was so close, I would have tried a little harder, but my nose won it! :) ha ha!

It was fun to do that with Matt.  We haven't ever competed in a race together.  Although during my run, I said I wouldn't do it again....I probably will! :) ha ha!  

They had a meal afterwards and a free drink!  We camped there that night, so Matt's family and cousins came over.

It is a beautiful campground.

Rachel (Mike's girlfriend that put on the Triathlon) gave the kids some Gator rides.

We were all tired that night and a little sore in the morning!
