Omaha weekend

This weekend we went to Omaha to see some of our friends.  Kami Heiss had a baby shower, so that gave all of us a good reason to get together.  There baby is due the end of October and we are so excited for them.  It is crazy how much our families have changed the last few years.

Us ladies were at the baby shower while the men went to Cabela's with Hudson and Hayden.  We met them at the hotel.  We took our children to Kona Grill and had some wonderful sushi!  We were there almost 3 hours, which is amazing with a 4 yr, 2 yr, 7 month and 3 month old.  Dining out is definitely not the same as it used to be.

Beau got a great deal on hotel rooms, so we stayed at the Hilton Gardens.  Our room was the gathering place for a little while and then we all moved out to the patio.

This is Hudson's favorite position lately.  He has such strong legs and loves to show off.

Lily and Hayden loved jumping off the bed and stool into Beau's arms.  He is going to be such a great daddy!

It was so nice to see those families.  We miss them and wish we could get together more often.

Morning after....we were all rested and ready to swim, eat, and shop!

Standing again! :)

The Village Pointe mall is the best.  Lily had a great time with Daddy on the ferris wheel in Scheel's.  I could hear her belly laugh all the way around!

We got sooo much shopping done.  Lily has her school tennis shoes and clothes for the fall/winter.  Hudson got some new clothes too!  He is still wearing 0-3 months, so I hope the 6 months we got him will last him awhile.  He isn't filling out as much as Lily did; he's got quite the chicken legs, ha ha!  Matt also got some much needed jeans and other things.  Mommy got shoes and head bands.  It was funny as I sorted all of our things because my pile was very small :(   Does that happen with all you mommies too??  I do need to do some shopping before school starts and our Vegas trip.  Ewww, I need to do that soon, not too many days left.  I refuse to count out the days, so you do the math!

Hopefully we will have more fun weekends to come!

My new adventure

I am about to embark on a new adventure.  I will soon be an Independent Designer for Origami Owl.  I will be selling Living Lockets through home parties, catalog parties, and online parties.  I am so excited to start this.  The Living Lockets are designed by the customers.  They get to put in the charms that help them tell their life story, interests, hobbies, and dreams.  There are other accessories to add to the locket.  I just got mine and absolutely love it!!!

My locket has the November birthstone for Matt and Lily, the May birthstone for Hudson and I, family heart to symbolize how important my family is to me, crystal cross for my faith in God, Peace sign for my classroom theme, and I have a helmet, N, football and red and white stones for the Huskers.  Later, I won’t wear all of them in the locket because I can have a Husker one and then my other charms.  I also have an angel wing dangle to represent the angels I have in Heaven: Gpa Virgil, Gma Betty, Gpa Jim, Gma Winnie, and Mullen!

I am so excited to share these Living Lockets with my friends and family around September.  At this time I am on the waiting list, and it is hard waiting!!!

VBS

Lily attended her first Vacation Bible School.  The Methodist church had VBS from 6:30-8:30 on Sunday - Thursday.  Lily absolutely loved going and referred to all of them as her friends.  She was bummed that it was only 5 nights she got to spend with her friends.  They learned that "Where Ever You Are!!!"  "Trust God!"  She said this many times to us and we heard it again at their program on Thursday evening.

The leaders and kids singing the songs that they learned through out the week.

Lily loves performing the actions to songs.

This picture cracks me up!  Lily is doing the actions and Rylen had better things to do...ha ha!  It was comical to watch all the kids.  The preschoolers in the front lost interest after a few songs.

Lily and Rylen were right in front of Morgan.   They did a great job!

Hudson had to be fed a bottle during the program, which we planned for.  So, he did pretty well.  Then there was cookies afterwards.  Lily already can't wait for next summer!

Jeepin' on the river

Every other summer we would have been out on the jeep many times by now.  With baby Hudson and the jeep needing worked on, we didn't go out on it until last weekend.  It was a fun time.  Hudson stayed with Grandma while Matt, Lily, Maguire, and I went to the river.  The South channel of the Platte was completely dry, so we drove through it and finally found water in the North channel.  The amount of dead fish we saw was so sad.  You could tell they were trying to stay in the water as long as they could.  Stinky!

Daddy let Lily drive through the water.  Loved it!

Maguire helped her drive by running the gas pedal.  As they were driving, we hit a deep hole.  Maguire gunned it and we got out!!!  :)

I was experimenting with pictures!

We stopped a few times so the kids could swim.  Maguire was very good at catching minnows.  Lily helped by making a hole to put them into as he caught them.  We did put 7 minnows in a bottle, but they didn't last long.

We got stuck twice.  The sand was sooo soft, it just sucked us in.  Luckily Matt knows exactly what to do.  :)

We had tons of fun!  I have definitely missed riding in the jeep.  Next year, Hudson will go with us too! :)  I just wish there was enough water to keep going, but I am sure the North channel won't be this full for long.  The Jeep Jamboree is in a couple weeks and it might consist of driving on sand instead of water.

Playdate with Aysha

Lily and Aysha have been begging Heather and I for a playdate or sleepover.  We finally made that happen on Thursday.  They were both oooohhhh sooooo excited!!!!  I picked Aysha up and brought the two giggly and talkative girls home.

Playing dress up and giving me a music show!

A friendly game of Candy Land for two girls that do not like to lose.  :)

What a messy/fun time.

I had gotten a cheap slip n' slide for Lily but she hasn't wanted to use it.  It was such a hot day, so we got it out.  With the help from Aysha, Lily finally tried it.  Aysha is a lot more daring than Lily and would try to do tricks.  Lily finally tried to fall on her tummy.

It was so fun to watch them and hear them giggle.

I am soooo glad Lily has a good friend like Aysha.  They were so much fun to listen to.  Aysha is very kind to Lily and very complimentary.  We can't wait for the next play date!!!

Fun with friends

After Lily's Kinder Kamp, she swam some more with Adysen and Hayden.  The babies had fun chilling with us mommies.  :)
L to R: Braxton (3.5 months), Aubree (2.5 months), Hudson (2.5 months)
Aubree is going to have two protective little boyfriends! :)

Asia, Adysen, and Braxton came out to our house to play.  It was fun watching the boys kick on the floor and the girls played in the playroom making us food and then took care of their own babies.

Asia and I were getting the boys to sleep and I look over to see the two big girls rocking their babies.  It was so sweet, because they were trying to be like us.  So, we had to get a picture!

On Tuesday, we went to the Children's Museum in Kearney.  That is such a fun place.  I think the kids almost get overwhelmed with everything they could do.  Hudson wanted to be held most of the time or was fussy in the stroller, so I didn't get many pictures.

I love this thing!

Lily's favorite part was dress up.  She also liked playing the piano for the other kids performing.

Lily found some fake glasses and became the doctor.  Sooo cute!

So, when we got home, she was Hudson and I's doctor!
