Lily was on a softball team this year! The girls were 10 and under I believe. The rule was if the pitcher throws 4 balls then our coach comes in and pitches to the girl. He can pitch up to 5 balls to the batter. It was a great learning year for Lily. She grew a lot in the couple months of softball! Thank you to her patient coaches.
We played Shelton, Gibbon, Loup City, Ravenna, St. Paul, Cairo, Dannebrog, and Doniphan. We only had 3 home games.
First time at bat!
We lost our first game to Shelton, but they had fun!
We had to take some pics for Daddy. He didn't get to see her first few games.
She got on first at Gibbon.
After this hit, Lily got tagged on her way to first. She got out (which was the 3rd out) so they grabbed their gloves and headed to the out field. I was watching her in left field and it looked like she was crying. Her shoulders would go up and down. :( We watched her as she ran into the dugout after the inning was over and she just came over in tears.
When the girl tagged her, she must have jammed her finger. :(
She didn't want to leave her team. :) We drove almost 1.5 hours to the game and this happened the first inning. So, we watched! :)
The next morning it was pretty swollen so I took her in to the doctor. They did an x-ray and didn't see a break. So, we wrapped it up and made sure to ice it.
She was pretty tough and didn't miss any games. The one she was going to miss got postponed because of the weather. Yes! :)
Sydney got to watch 2 of Lily's games. :)
Great and fun season girls!!! :)
Can't wait for it next year!
