Widdowson Christmas 2013

The Widdowson Christmas started Sunday evening.  We went to Gibbon and rode on the Gibbon Baptist Church hayrack ride to carol around Gibbon.  It was fun and also very chilly!

Hudson and I were wrapped up in a blanket.  At first he didn't know what to think, but then he soon started singing with us!  It was adorable.

The men followed us in Grandpa's pickup.  We then went to the church for a skit put on the by the Youth group.  Lily spent the night with her cousins at Gpa and Gma's and then we went home.

On Tuesday morning, Hudson and I got ready to head to Gma and Gpa's again.  Matt had to work that day.  Everyone had a plan that day.  Us girls and Dad were going shopping, Mom and the kids were going to a movie and getting ornaments, and John and Hudson were going to hang out.

Dad taking us girls shopping with the credit card!  I didn't get an after picture of all of our new purses.  We had fun once again shopping with Dad.

We ran into Uncle John, Mav, and Hudson.  He was sleepy!
John seemed to be doing fine with him.  ;)  I didn't want to interrupt their fun time, so John just kept him.  We ended up shopping a little more and then met Mark, John, Mav, and Hud at Motor Inn in Shelton.  Matt came out to Mom and Dad's that night for supper and then we stayed the night there.  It is so nice for Mom and Dad to have a house big enough for all of us! :)

On Christmas Eve morning we all relaxed and got ready at our own pace.  Scott got there around noon.  Mom had an idea to make a Christmas tree painting with all her grandkids' hands.  Eliza and Laurie helped all the kids do their hands.

He wasn't a big fan of painted hands.

Some of the kids were bored so they just turned themselves into Santa. :)

Once Uncle Scott was there, we ate lunch and then played BINGO!

Then the kids were wanting to open gifts…I can't imagine why???? ha ha.  Look at all those amazing presents!

Hudson finally laid down for a nap, so we didn't dare wake him.  So, he didn't get to open gifts with all the kids, but he got his chance later!

Grandma made jammies for Lily and Caroline, her doll.

Thanks Aunt Gigi…she has been wanting one of these for a long time.

Lily is liking Syd's gifts too. :)  ha ha

All the kids got a big gift that was hidden behind a screen.  Those boys are helping Lily and Syd open their doll wardrobe. :)

The popular gift was the helicopter.  Lily (and DADDY!) love this gift!  I love Matt's expression.

Grandma got Delanie high heels to play in.  She looks so tall! She is growing up way too fast!

Hudson woke up!  He was not in the mood to open gifts.

Getting a back rub from Grandma. :)

He was forced into opening one of the gifts and that is the only one he opened before Church.

He loved it!!!!

Mom and Dad got tickets to watch Cher from Scott and Eliza.   Then they got a free Stay at the Honda Conda, ha ha!  (aka, John and Laurie's loft in Lincoln!) :)

Mom got a watch from Dad.

Matt got great glassware with 'E' etched on them for his bar!

Ha ha, Eliza got high heels too that mom was tricking her that they were real and she intended for her to wear them.  It turns out they were from Goodwill and were also play shoes for Lanie!  haha

Check out these cousin pictures!

Merry Christmas!

We then got ready (in between the Adults opening gifts) to go to the Christmas Eve service.  Guire and Caden were asked to be wiremen in the manger scene.

It is cute how they all quickly go visit Grandma after church.  Good pic!

My wonderful family!!!

I love my family so much!  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and two beautiful, healthy, funny, and great kids.

Lily's pretty Christmas dress.

We then went to visit Mully at the cemetery.  We lit the candles again and the breeze came up which has always been something that reminds us of Mullen.  It was a chilly night, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TRADITION.  I miss Mullen, but I am thankful for the wonderful memories I have of him.

When we got back, we were able to finish opening our gifts.  Hudson finally felt like opening his. :)

Mick is what he calls Mickey Mouse.  It is so cute!

He likes his new wheel barrow.

Caden doesn't mind sharing his bean bag with Hudson.  They are all such great cousins to Hud.  He absolutely adores each of them.

The ladies in their Grandma specials!

Cute….did you notice Mom's shirt?!  ha ha! :)

We loaded up all of our wonderful gifts (we were spoiled!) and headed home.  We wanted to be home for Santa in the morning.  Hudson was out, but Lily woke up to set out chocolate milk and Hershey kisses for Santa Claus.  She also touched Eddie the Elf before he left to go back to North Pole.

We had a wonderful three days with my family!
