Husker playdate!

It was our turn to host the playdate.  We hosted a husker party for the Huskers vs. Northwestern.  Thank goodness we won.  It wasn't pretty, but they pulled it off.

There were kids everywhere!!!

Monroe was unsure about the babies.  She wanted to be with them so bad, but Mommy (Erin) was teaching her nice touch.  I love this picture.

Big kids watching a movie.
Faith, Hayden, Lily, and Adysen

Hudson was asleep when everyone arrived.  He had an awesome nap, almost 3 hours.  He was still sleepy so Danielle got some snuggle time! :)

Braxton and Hudson were so fun to watch.  They were smiling back and forth and wanting to touch each other.

The babies sitting up!

Cheese!

Monroe loved getting her picture taken. :)

What a silly smile! :)

I am glad we had the basement and outside for all the kids to go.  They all had a great time.

Some kids were unsure of Oasis at first, but then they soon forgot about her.  Landon really liked her.

What an awesome picture.  It is amazing to see all these beautiful kids.  It looks like it would be hectic, but they all play so good together.  We are even missing three families.  Thanks for coming everyone!!!

Good thing we had plenty of baby toys and stations.  The three babies just circulated through them.  It was fun!

Almost everyone stayed for supper.  We ordered pizza and continued our party.

Can't wait for the next party. :)

Elk Hunt and home

Well, it was that time of year again.  Matt left for elk hunting in Colorado on Thursday and got back Thursday.  It is a lot different with 2 kids and being alone.  We managed, but we were glad when he was back.

Matt saw elk this year, but did not get one.  5 of them went this year and Matt P. did get a cow.  He took a few pics, but he didn't want to be my guest blogger. ha ha.

Matt and Chris hiked to the top of the mountain on Friday so they would be there early Saturday morning (opening day).  It rained on them, so he said it was pretty miserable.  Here is their camp.

They made a make shift clothesline to dry their clothes.  On Saturday he said it was this foggy and they couldn't see too far ahead, so it wasn't a good opening day. :(

Matt P. got an elk on Sunday night.  So, they all went to help with it.

Dave and Darrin with part of the elk on their pack.

Matt said the hind quarter that he was carrying was around 100 pounds.

The hunters and their rides!

Back at home, Hudson was learning to sit by himself.

Thank you, thank you , thank you Aunt Gigi for coming to be with us.  We had so much fun with you and Mommy was able to get some work done at the school!  :)

Fun times with Gigi!

It was a long 7 days.  Hudson and Lily were great!  I didn't get a lot done, but I got in some important mommy/kid time.  :)

5 Months!!!

Well, our little is starting to fill the basket.  He is definitely getting some meat on his bones. :)  He is recognizing his name and definitely us!  He lights up when one of us walks into a room.  I can tell he wants to tell us something and just kicks his legs.  We are having so much fun watching him experience new things.

Hudson has become a very happy baby.  I think starting cereal and now food has made a difference.

He is a little charmer!

Although he still likes being held, he is now enjoying sitting on his own.  He likes to be able to look around and doesn't want to miss out on anything.  This week I put him on the floor to see if he could sit up and HE CAN!  He does fall over after a little bit.

He is now trying to turn on his tummy and pull himself to get toys, phones, blankets, and more!
He loves any blanket or toy that has a satin piece on it.
He has stopped sucking on his fingers.  So, our little man is not a binky or finger boy.  I guess we can't complain because he isn't overly fussy and unmanageable.

First time with carrots!!!  Check out his eyebrow....

Not a big fan! :(

He likes it now though, and is moving on to sweet potatoes and now squash.  He is still taking a bottle at every meal and when I am around I feed him.  I am so fortunate to be able to still nurse.  I was worried after the Vegas trip, but it did not effect it at all.  I nursed Lily for 9 months, so I will go that far with Hudson at least.  (hopefully his teeth don't come in!)  I enjoy this time with him, especially when he looks up at me and tries to play with my nose, hair, chin.  :)

We are getting more and more giggles from him.  Tickling his ribs and under his chin work and he also loves peak a boo.

Cute pictures

Lily and Hudson playing on the ipad at the hotel.  He wants to just swat at everything, but he was actually calm watching Lily. :)

Me and my boy!  Love love love :)

We got him a stocking hat from Cabelas, it doesn't quite fit as we were planning. ha ha  He looks like he is in Switzerland.

Wedding and family fun!

Our friend Adam Ickes got married on Friday to Lindsay.  We were unable to make the actual wedding on Friday but we made it to the reception.  It was fun to see all of Matt's friends from high school and college.  We had our kids and everyone else left their kids with grandparents.  It was funny to see them interact with our kids.  You could tell they were all missing their little ones.  Lily was busy dancing and collecting glow bracelets.  Hudson was over stimulated with the lights and it was EXTREMELY loud in there.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of all 4 of us.  We looked pretty classy! :)

Matt is a pro at priceline.com.  He got us a room at one of the nice hotels by Cabela's for on $60/night.  Crazy, right?!  We invited the Ferzelys and Virgie over on Saturday morning to go swimming.

Later that afternoon, Delanie had a volleyball game.  Eliza is the coach.  It was fun to watch her!

 High fiving after a win!

snugglin' with Uncle Scott

We then went to their house for the Husker game.

Delanie was excited to get to feed Hudson.  I love how her mouth is open as she is feeding him.

The Husker game was not so great, but we had fun with family!

On Sunday morning we ate a great breakfast and went shopping at...........yep you guessed it!  CABELAS!

family wedding

Another weekend in O'Neill!  Matt's cousin, Pat, got married to Natasha North of Atkinson.  They had an outdoor wedding by a pond next to a Lodge.  They had haybales with boards as the seats.  It was a beautiful day.  They couldn't have asked for better weather.

Do you think he is loved?!?  ha ha

Aunt Emily....aka Taylor Swift, ha ha!  It was nice to have a wedding outside because an almost 5 month old did not want to sit in the hot sun watching a wedding.

Our beauty!

My handsome men! Love them....

And....he's out!

After the wedding we finally got to meet Chris and Tara's little girl, Maggie.  What a sweetheart!

I think this is a funny picture.  It looks like we have 3 kids.  We thought it would be better to actually include her mommy and daddy too! :)

The two babies weren't thrilled, but there will definitely be more of these pictures! :)

Time for the dance!  Lily (along with all the other kids) are trying to be soooo patient.

Abby W. and Hudson.  He was loving all the attention. :)

Look mom, I have acorn bells.  She is a little horder. ha ha

I love this picture.  Ali kept wanting to touch Hudson and Abby kept telling her to be nice.  Look at her ornery little face, ha ha.

What a good daddy! :)

We did sneak off to the Legion to see the NE vs. Wisconsin game.  What a good game! :)

Matt and Chris
Not only are they cousins, but they are best friends.  They are so fun to watch together, they act like brothers.
