Matt's new Deer Stand

Matt has been using the same tree stand he built with his Dad for quite awhile now.  The stand was not reliable because of the growing tree and from being in rain and snow.  So, he drew up plans for a new stand that was going on top of electric poles he got from someone.  :)

Maverick, John, and Josh helped Matt put in the poles.

Time to put the stand up there.

Comparing the old one to the new one.

Checking out how high up we are!

The back side.

Matt and Maverick were cutting down trees around their stands so they had a better view and to get rid of some of the dead trees.  Matt had one tree come down on him and his left knee came down onto the chainsaw.  I was at my parents' house, so he called and said we needed to go to the hospital.  It looked pretty bad at first.  He had a hard time looking at it, but I definitely got a lesson on stitches.  After 3 or 4 inside stitches and about 20 outside, we finally were out of there.  The ladies that helped him were great at the Kearney hospital.  We did have plans to go tailgating in Lincoln that night, but we didn't make it.

This is the day after.  We had to change the bandage every day.

He is so lucky he didn't do more damage.

Ready to go hunting in the new stand.

Matt carried Hudson up.

Watching cartoons on Daddy's phone.

Hunting is tiring.  So sweet.
