~GYMNASTICS~

Lily has been asking a long time for us to sign her up for gymnastics.  I finally decided we would try it.  I signed her up for only a one month session so we could see how it would work out with our schedule and if she would even enjoy it.  She will go on Wednesdays after she has Rubies.  Lily calls it her 'work day.'

I wanted to get a before picture in her cute outfit.
Hudson couldn't pass up getting a pic with his sister.

"Me, Pic!"

Hudson and I watched from the window.

Getting ready to do a somersault.

On the balance beam.

I think she enjoyed it.  She was pretty shy, but one of my students is in there.  So, now she feels like she knows someone.  :)

Doniphan Carnival

On Tuesday, Doniphan-Trumbull had a carnival.  Everything was so cheap and it seemed like most of Doniphan came, ha ha!  They had the gym packed with 3 inflatables, cupcake walk and carnival games.  We had fun!

Lily and her good friend Charlee!

Hudson wanted to go in soooo bad.  But, I don't think he could do it and I would never get him out...what a disaster that would be.

Games

Once Hudson went by all the cupcakes, he couldn't concentrate on walking anymore. :)

We ate supper there since hotdogs and nachos were only $1 a piece.  Cheap family date night.  I am so excited to be apart of this DT school.  It is fun to do these activities! :)

St. Patrick's Day 2014

We went up to O'Neill on Friday night.  We stayed up late just visiting with Gpa and Gma.

In the morning we were able to sleep in a little bit and then we played until it was time to get ready for the parade.

Lily and Hudson missed Bear.

Green and ready!

This probably won't be the last time Hudson's head is all scraped and bruised.  Poor guy hits everything and falls a lot.  :(

We watched the parade outside of Jackie's work, "The Clothing Company."  It was sooooo cold!

Hudson liked the idea of getting candy!

Lily was warming up inside the store.  The window was the perfect place to sit!

Grandpa and Grandma with Lily and Hudson

She got a balloon from a clown! :)

watching from inside

Playing with the toys at the back of the store.

PAPAS!!!  Hudson calls every tractor and truck a Papa.  He loved watching these in the parade.

Lily was tuckered out after the parade.

Happy St. Pat's!

Me and Mine!!!

Grandma playing the foozball champ, :)

Lily has a lot of room for cartwheels now!  :)  She is such a dancer and performer.

Matt and I had a pretty low key night.  We drove to Verdigre and had a couple drinks at their very small bar! :)

We had a nice relaxing Sunday morning.  The weekend went so fast!

Playing with Grandpa and Daddy's old cars.

Spring Break 2014

Spring Break!!!
I always look forward to having a week to be with my family, get things done, and relax!!!!

On Saturday, me and the kids (Matt was in Vegas until Sunday) went to Gma and Gpa's house.  We packed our bags so we could stay the night there.  Its nice to go out and know you don't have to turn around and leave.

They love exploring out on the farm.  They spent quite a bit of time outside.

During Hudson's nap, Jolene (neighbor) called and asked if Lily wanted to ride in their train.  Of course!  She is in the last car.  :)  How cute!

We were lucky to be there when Laurie was coming by to drop off the boys.  Laurie didn't stay, but the boys did.  They are so good with Lily and Hudson.

Putting jammies on.

Wrestling, dancing, crawling under legs.

Aunt Gigi face timed us! :)  What a great invention........................20 years ago, who would have thought that you could see the person you were talking on the phone with!!

On Sunday, we went to church and then went home to be there when Matt got home from Vegas.  We were excited to see him!  We hadn't been to the horse races yet this season, so I convinced Matt that we should go.

We weren't lucky at all, but we did have fun.  Hudson has a new love for horses now! :)

Monday, Hudson and I took Lily to school and we hung around the house.  He is so much fun when its just the two of us.

I finally got a chance to work on his first Shutterfly book.  Check out some pages!

I absolutely love pictures and I enjoy putting these books together.  It is a lot of work, but I consider it a hobby of mine.  I am not sure when I will stop because I don't know if both kids will want 18 books each, ha ha!

This was one of my favorite parts of Spring Break.  Monday was beautiful...Hudson and I got the stroller and Lily's scooter.  We walked to the school to pick her up.  I love that I have the chance to do that sometimes.  I brought Gogurts for them to eat on the way home.  Lily loved riding the scooter home.

We enjoyed our neighbors too!

Me and my first baby....Oasis!  She loves these days when we are outside! :)

Tuesday........
Hudson and I cleaned the house.  I can't vacuum the house with out him begging me to hold him.  He absolutely loves the vacuum.

They are so cute!  Eating crackers and watching cartoons.

Woop Woop, I got my new Spring Origami Owl catalogs.

Wednesday......
We hung out and then I took Hudson to daycare so I could get a pedi and shop a little.  Then Matt and I got our taxes done with a follow up meal at Olive Garden!  Yum.

Thursday.....
Hudson and I worked out!

Then I left for my trip to Kansas City with my friends: Erin, Asia, and Hayley.
We left around 1 pm on Thursday and got to KC around 6 or so.  We got all beautified at the hotel first.

We went to a bar and grill first.  The Big 12 basketball championship was that weekend, so there were a lot of people in town (especially men).

At Jack Daniel's Bar.

On the walkway outside.

We went to the piano bar again that we went to last year.  We paid $13 to put the statement above on the mirror.  The bar was full of Iowa State and Kansas people, so needless to stay, they didn't want that up very long.  ha ha!

On Friday, we did some MAJOR shopping!  I am really proud of all my items I bought.  Matt might not be, but I am!  ha ha!!!!!!!!

We then decided to have a more low key night.  We got ready and went to a new restaurant: The Melting Pot!

Love these girls!!!!

Cheese fondue

My meal
We cook it all ourselves in boiling water.
Very interesting and it tasted pretty good!

Dessert fondue

We were at the restaurant for 3 hours....geez!  We went back to the hotel and were able to relax.  We took our time Saturday morning and then went to another outside mall for lunch.

I love me some bloody mary's!  :)  Thank you for a wonderful trip ladies.  I am excited for next year.  We make great memories each year! :)

Well another Spring Break over........ :(

Now only if the spring weather would stay around!
