Matt and I agreed that we weren't going to give any gifts this Valentine's day.  I should have known that he wouldn't follow the rules.  When I walked into the closet that morning, my very own SPERRY shoes were right in front of me.  What a stinker, but what an AMAZING VALENTINE!  Thank you Matt.  I only got him a card.......not cool.

Weekend

The kids and I enjoyed my Friday off.  After the play date with all of our friends, we ran some errands and came home to do Valentines.

I am so proud of her.  She wrote every single Valentine on her own.  She has pretty good penmanship, which makes this first grade teacher happy! :)  She has a hard time with n's and h's, so I did dotted lines for those.

Her and I had taken over the living room floor with our Valentine's!  Good thing Hudson was asleep!

The plan was to go to Lincoln that evening.  We were going to see the Gentele's and stay at a hotel.  Lily and I packed everything and I had the car all loaded.  Well.........as the evening went on and NO daddy, we decided to go to sleep too.  Matt finally got done working at midnight.  Hard worker, I know!

Hudson could not stay awake any longer!  Lily loved this because he hasn't slept on her since he was much smaller. :)

We did end up going to Lincoln on Saturday morning.  Chris and Tara's fence business "Outback Fence and Stain" was at the Lincoln Home show.  We wanted to support them.  There was a few fun things for kids too!

Lily got a balloon hat.  It is a princess crown with a heart in the front.

We saw a face painter and since Lily didn't get a chance to get her face painted at the Princess Day, we did it for sure this time!

This was actually the same lady that did the painting at Princess Day!  She is an amazing artist.

We then went out to eat at Granite City and then shopping.  The kids got spoiled on this trip.  :)   

Home again!  Lily and Hudson were wrestling.  All of sudden, Lily yells, eww his face is black!

She didn't know why it was black......

 ha ha, Doesn't he look ornery?!?

Awww, now she knows why his face was black.  Good things come to an end my dear. 

On Sunday, we were invited to my parent's house for lunch.  Aunt Gigi was there too!  I think they all just wanted to see our kids. ha ha!

They have so much fun together!  Here they are ripping Daddy's magazine.....super!

Party Hut play date!

Since it is P/T conference week, I had today (Friday) off!  Megan lined up the February play date at the Party Hut this morning.  It was amazing, because ALL of us were able to make it! :)

He was tired.....I woke him up so he could be in the group picture.

Wowzers!  Aren't they all just adorable?  15 kids and 9 mommies!!!  Now, thats a good time.

We are so blessed and fortunate to have each other.  Our kids are always going to have someone to play with.  

Hudson is 9 months!!!!

9 MONTHS!!!

**Soon after he turned 8 months, he was able to sit back on his bottom after crawling.

**He is very stable when standing up holding onto something.

**He waves more on his own, but still acts like a puppet.  When we hold his arm up, he moves his wrist to wave. ha ha

**Stands up in his crib when he is ready to get up.  

**He cruises the furniture.

**Wants to play with the speakers!!! Urgh

**Starting to learn "NO" and what 'No' is in sign language.  He does giggle a little afterwards (stinker)!

**He has a yell that we know he is yelling for Lily.

**January 25th, we stayed home because he was diagnosed with RSV.  That day I noticed that he was getting two teeth on top.  They are fangs!

**Loves his bath!  He splashes like crazy!

**He dislikes his nose being cleaned out, getting strapped into his carseat, and now he doesn't like being on his changing table for any reason. (he used to LOVE IT)

**Not a fan of some of his vegetables now.  He loves any of the fruit.

**He is now able to eat the PUFFS with out gagging on them.

**I am still nursing him.  With his new teeth, it might not be for much longer. :(

AGAIN, MOM???

Getting so big!  I can't believe he will be one in 3 short months! Crazy!

Mickey Mouse was on the TV.  He has grown to love that cartoon this month.  We turned it on when he did his breathing treatments to calm him down and to get him to focus on something other than the tubes and pulling the mask off.  Lily loved that cartoon when she was little too!

 He is already practicing how old he is!  ha ha.  He actually just likes using his pointer finger. :)

What a fun morning we had!  Hudson still loves his orange blanket.  He never took a liking to a binky, so this is the closest thing.  Last week the satin border was coming off, so I had to sew it on.  It doesn't look great, but it works!  That is the part he likes the best, so it had to be fixed! :)

Hudson has also discovered his pointer finger.  Lily thinks its funny when he uses it. :)

Hudson's goal is to open every drawer.  So far he only plays with the drawer and doesn't scatter everything too much yet. 

1.  Look how he is sitting.  (I have pictures of myself and Lily sitting like this)

2. He is starting to get some cause/effect things.  So, he tries to put the balls back in.

I caught him!  The bottom drawer is his favorite.  He gets out the ziplocs and shakes them and pulls at them. 

His personality is coming out!  See the wrinkle in his nose? ha ha! 

This is a happy face.  I think he enjoys showing off his teeth! :)

Hudson is also very impulsive with arms swings when he is eating.  Sometimes you don't know its coming and bam!  Food is all over! :) ha ha!
