Go Huskers!

We are glad that Husker season is finally here. Lily was all dressed up today in her Husker garb. She has a jersey that I had given Mullen when he was a baby and a husker hat. I will try to get a picture of Mully in the jersey to compare to Lily. Daddy really wants her hair to get longer so she doesn't look like a little boy in her hat. :) The cutest thing was when we were watching the game, Lily just started clapping. On the TV, they were showing the crowd which were all clapping. Lily was imitating them. She really enjoyed the first half, then she went to bed.

Beau's wedding

On Friday, August 22nd, Mullen John turned 8 years old!

We headed to Omaha for Beau and Kami's wedding rehearsal. Lily stayed with Aunt Gigi while we got to hang out with our friends. It has been awhile since we have seen our friends and we had a good time. Matt was one of Beau's ushers. Lily and I hung out with Virgie on Saturday morning and then I went to the wedding. Matt and I had a great time at the wedding. Beau and Kami looked great and are so happy together. It makes me want to marry Matt again to have the big party!

Well, I have one week down of school. I now have 19 students, which was a few more than I thought I was going to get. We just had open house tonight and it is always nice to meet the families. I have some really good parents, so I am looking forward to a great year.

Great Wolf Lodge

On Friday, August 15th we drove to Kansas City to Great Wolf Lodge. We met the whole Widdowson side of our family for a fun filled weekend. Matt, Lily, and I had never been there. It was a lot of fun. There is a huge water park inside of the hotel and then a big pool outside as well. We all stayed in two rooms. The Widdowsons, Ferzelys, Elsburys, and Virgie were in one room with Lily and Sydney. Gma and Gpa were in another room with the other five kiddos. It was fun to have all the cousins together. We got to celebrate Mullen's eighth birthday as well. His real birthday was August 22nd. I didn't take very many pictures because my camera got wet and the pictures were fuzzy. So, enjoy the ones I did take!!!

Happy Birthday to Landon yesterday, August 11th!!!

I have been busy in my classroom the last couple of weeks. I will get students a week from today. Yikes! As of right now, I have 17 students. Hopefully the numbers stay low.

I do have some pictures, but I will post them later. This weekend, Matt went to Beau's bachelor party and had a good time. Lily and I went to Danielle's wedding in Kearney. Lily was such a good baby. Earlier that day she went from her tummy to her bottom for the first time!! Yeah! She is such the character.

Lily's new friend!!! Adysen Darlienne Boslau

Our good friends, Asia and Brian Boslau welcomed their sweet, little baby girl on July 28th, 2008. Adysen Darlienne weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. and was 22 inches long. In fact, Lily and Adysen were born in the same room at Saint Francis (229). How neat is that!! Lily was so excited to see Adysen on Tuesday. It was a weird feeling for me to be back in the hospital for the first time since she was born. She grew up so fast. Brian and Asia found out they were pregnant right after Lily was born, and 8 1/2 months later here we are!

O'Neill trip

On Saturday afternoon, we left for O'Neill to see Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Emily in O'Neill. Great Grandma Darla came over to see us too.

We went to Atkinson to see Great Grandma and Matt's Aunt and Uncle from California. It was Hay Days, so there were a lot of people in the park. Lily and I got to swing together for a little bit.

We were saying our goodbyes. Lily was very talkative with Grandpa Mark. I tried to get it on video, but she never cooperates when I have the camera rolling, can you believe it? ha ha!
