Emily's Graduation!

First of all, I want to tell you how crazy it is that I met Emily for the first time when she was 5!  That is Lily's age.  Now she is GRADUATING!?!    Crazy!

We got to O'Neill Friday night.  In the morning we helped around the house (even though they had most everything done.  The garage looked great!).  It was nice to see Chantele as well.  She was back for a few days.  Jessica, Scott, and Landon weren't able to come because Baby DeBerg was coming soon and they didn't want to be too far from home.

The men waiting for all the ladies to get ready for the Graduation!

Awe, pretty girl!

Congratulations Aunt Emily!!!! :)

We, the Elsbury's were early to the Graduation.  Wait, what?!  ha ha! So, we sat right behind the graduates! :)

Here she comes!

Singing in the choir.

She had a duet in the choir.

She's DONE!

So is he!  ha ha

Beautiful ladies!

We had fun that evening with the guests.  Stayed up late and got up to good breakfast for Mother's day!

Giving Grandma her stepping stone.

Matt and the kids got me a coffee mug with their handprints on it and suitcases! :)

Us kids got Emily a TV for her dorm room.

Happy Mother's Day to me!  What a beautiful day.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week was absolutely what I needed.  My students and their parents as well as the PTA definitely spoiled me!  We had 2 huge Eileen's cookies, I got 2 plants, insulated cups with goodies inside.  What I really enjoyed was the handwritten notes by some present and past students as well as a couple parents.  It really "filled my bucket!"  ha ha!  Teaching is so rewarding and a lot of emotion goes into  teaching.  So its refreshing to hear from others that they acknowledge what you have done.  I am really going to miss this class!

Isn't this poster cute?  Love it!

Unlucky Friday

On Friday, I was driving home with the kids and we were going to get packed up for our trip to O'Neill.  They are doing a lot of work on the roads in our development, so there are dump trucks and crews working all day.  I was turning onto the gravel road, but a dump truck was blocking 2/3 of the road.  He waved me in and I 'thought' I had plenty of time to turn in before the oncoming car.  I hadn't realized that there was little room to get around him.  I was trying not to hit the posts on the side of the road, when BAM! that oncoming car hit the back end of my car and passenger rear tire.  I was startled, checked on my once sleeping kids.  Lily woke up but Hudson was still sleeping.  ha ha.  We were all okay, but the car isn't :(  After a long time waiting, an officer came and then Matt was there.  If you ask me, it wasn't my fault, but I guess it was mostly my fault says the officer and insurance company.  So, boo hoo!  I am in a rental car now and anxiously waiting to get my Explorer back!

Hudson's First Birthday!!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Hudson James!!!
May 4, 2013
We love you so much!

We had both of our families out to our house for a monkey birthday!

Our little Monkey!  It is fitting to see him holding his hammer.  I put his picture on the NTV website and they aired it on Friday morning.  I put that he loves his hammer and he sure does! :)

Virgie had a recording of his picture on the news.  He loved hearing his name and seeing his picture!

We opened presents first and then ate supper.

Lily got him this CAT and she got him a blue monkey and colored him a picture.

Hudson instantly stood up with this and started walking with it.  Yay!

He needs someone to hold on to when he gets nervous.  Delanie is never too far away! ha ha

We got him the barn.

Uncle John teaching Hud how to bat.

Cake Time!!!

Look at them!  :)  So sweet!

MMMM, that's pretty good.

He couldn't shovel it in fast enough.

Sharing!

Pretty excited!

Guire wanted some!

He was a little ham for everyone. We were all just laughing at him.

Yay!!!  My baby is ONE!

He wanted to go give Delanie a sloppy hug and kiss.

Ick

Quick spray down in the sink.

Getting spoiled by Mav.  He kept eating!

Aunt Emily and birthday boy

He was tuckered out!

I can't believe he is one already.  This year went sooooo fast!

Things about Hudson....................
*Weighs 23 lbs. 15 oz and is 31 inches long
*Still not walking........not in a hurry I guess.
*Says Uh-Oh every time he drops something.
*He makes a whistle sound when talking about dogs, or when he tries to say Oasis.
*Says "Hiiiiii"
*Has the cutest flirty smile.
*We changed him to whole milk the week of his birthday.
*We switched him to a sippy cup, no bottles anymore!!!
*We also switched him to a forward facing carseat.  (A lot of changes for our little man!)
*He handled each change perfectly.
*He likes to be held and played with and may whine if someone leaves or puts him down.  That is my goal for summer is to get him to play more independently.
*He is getting his 3rd tooth on the bottom (total of 7 now).
*Likes to undo his velcro shoes.
*When he hears a loud noise or when he bumps his head he says "Owwww"
*He is very good at signing - more, please, and milk.
*He still loves his orange blanket, but it stays in his crib or comes with us on longer car rides.  Hopefully he will be done with it by the end of summer.
*He knows that a brush is to brush hair.
*He will give hugs and kisses.

** I am sure there is more about our amazing little man! :)
Love him!
