Adventures of Eddie

I didn't get a picture of a few of the days.

*He rolled in a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom to the tree.
*Sitting in the living room reading books that he got for Lily and Hudson.
*On a zip line from the sink light to the island light in the kitchen.  (as we were looking at him, he fell flat on his face in the middle of the kitchen, oops!)
*He rearranged Lily's Santa stickers on the window.
*In the barbie car with his arm around a barbie.
*Hanging from the ceiling fan in Mommy's bra. (nice)
*He was in Hudson's truck and all of Lily's cars were in a trail behind him.
*Riding the rocking horse in O'Neill.  (we were so glad he made it up there.  Lily was worried, but she thinks he got there on his bike.)
*He made a 'snow' fort out of marshmallows at Grandma and Grandpa's.

We all made the Nice List!!!  Lily was very glad to see that. :)

On Christmas Eve night, we said goodbye to Eddie.  We told Lily she could give him a hug or kiss on his last night, but she didn't want to.  He has been so fun to watch this Christmas season.  We have had a few tears since our goodbye.  Lily misses him and wishes Santa would let him stay.  She will be so excited when he returns in 11 months! :)

Lily's Christmas program 2012

Lily's Preschool Christmas Program!

What a beauty!
(Thanks for the Christmas dress, Grandma!)

Her program was at the Blessed Sacrament Church on Sunday.  I wish we would have gotten a family picture, we looked snazzy!  :)

Hudson did pretty good for a little bit.  When he started fussing, we just gave him a bottle.  We didn't want to miss Lily's performance.  ha ha!  Lily's class was the last class to sing.  They sang 3 songs.

She is eyeing Daddy and Hudson. :)

Lily's class

She is lovin it!

The program was a success!  It is hard to believe that next year we will be seeing her KINDERGARTEN program.  Afterwards they had a soup supper.

Aysha and Lily

Lily, Santa, and Laila (Lily's friend)  **This is Lily's first time to sit voluntarily on Santa's lap and be happy about it.  ha ha!

Christmas 2012!  Lily and Hudson with Santa.  Hudson isn't giving any smiles.

Hmmmmmm........let's pull the beard!

7 months!

December 4th = Hudson is 7 months old!  Wow!!!

This is how he prefers his bath now!  I think I was trying to keep him a little baby.  I still had him in the baby tub, but I put him in like this and OH MY!  He loves it and he splashes water everywhere! :)  Lily enjoys taking a bath with him too.  Mommy gets extremely wet, but thats okay!

Hudson James!
November 14th: Hudson's bottom tooth came in.
November 20th:  Hudson started saying "Da Da"
November 30th: Started army crawling

**Hudson's 2nd tooth appeared the end of November
**He gives high fives
**He loves patty cake and peak a boo.
**He likes to squeal and hear his voice.
**He is trying to mimic us.  Hitting table, coughing, squealing
**He is hard to change because he rolls every time!
**His smile will light up the room!

Seriously mom, again?!?

He is filling up the basket!

Hudson is always trying to grab something.

My big boy!!!

See, he grabs everything! :)

It won't be long and he will be crawling!!!  Time to start baby proofing the house!

Sick day

On Monday, Lily got sick at Heather's.  She was throwing up, so I left work a little early to pick up her and Hudson.  Poor girl was not feeling well.  Matt was on the East coast at this time, so it was just me.  She threw up a few more times that evening (had to wash some bedding, urgh).  I thought we were in the clear until she did it again at 10:00.  So, I decided to get a sub for the next day and was writing lesson plans late that night.  Lily slept with me that night and Hudson was fine.  We slept in a little in the morning and Lily was feeling okay.  It ended up being a nice relaxing 'sick' day.  We played!

Lily caged up Hudson!  ha ha, he didn't mind at all.

Then she was caged up! :)

We wanted to get out of the house a little, so we went to Gpa and Gma's for supper.

Isn't this cute!

I am glad her sickness didn't last long.  And we were glad when Matt got home.  So far, we are all feeling fine (Matt did get sick a week later).  This icky bug needs to stay away from us!

Christmas decorating and DANCE!

We had a fun Sunday with decorating the house and watching Lily dance.

We got the lights and the star on before we had to head to her dance program.

Her dance program was at GISH.  There are so many people there.  It is impressive to see these little girls do their dance in front of all those people with out getting scared.  Lily loves dance and she did a great job.

Lily and her dance friends.  She is in the back row.  (They all tend to look alike, ha ha)

I love this, even though the gym was packed, she managed to find me!  Look at that little grin.  Her cousin Maverick does this too.  What a cutie.

I caught her spaced out.  The rest of the girls were "swimming" and she was not, ha ah!

Hudson was starting to get restless and we were sitting in the middle of the bleachers.  So, we decided to leave the program early.  We celebrated Lily's program by getting some yogurt at Cherry Berry.  Yum, Yum.

That evening we decorated the tree.  I love this part.  We each pick the ornament we want to put on first.  It is fun to talk about each ornament.  I love to get new ones each year to symbolize that year or something we love.

Lily picked the Manger scene ornament with baby Jesus.

Hudson wanted to help too!  He had just started scooting, so it was really hard to keep him away from all this neat stuff. :)

Finally got one! :)

Daddy picked an ornament we got for our wedding. :)

I hung up Mullen's ornament. :)

The walker contained him so he wouldn't grab all the ornaments!

This is a family tradition I absolutely love!

Eddie the Elf on the Shelf

On December 1st, we woke up to a visitor.  One of Santa's elves brought bubble gum for Lily and a book.  She spotted him right away by the tv and was so excited. We read the book and learned all the rules.  We made a list of possible names for him and finally decided on EDDIE.  Eddie watches Lily and Hudson during the day and goes back to Santa each night to report how they did.  When he arrives he is ornery.  He has done some fun things in our house.  Pictures will follow.  His last day at our house will be Christmas Eve and then he goes back to the North Pole.  It has been fun watching Lily's reaction to Eddie. Its fun for Mommy and Daddy too! :)
