Thanksgiving 2016

The Ferzely's hosted Thanksgiving again.  We went up on Thursday afternoon.  Scott and Eliza had a wonderful meal!  The kids played played and played!

I had an idea.

I envisioned these pumpkins full of what everyone is Thankful for.  Then, Grandma would put them as her Fall decorations.

The idea was brought up that we would add more to them next year.  So, everyone wrote once or twice on each pumpkin.  I didn't get a finished pick of them....oops!

All of us women went shopping until about 1:00am.  I got some good stuff!  The next morning, Matt and Maverick went shopping.  Laurie and I went shopping.  Virgie brought over her Dialysis machine.  The kids were so interested.  This is the first time I have watched her do it.

Family Deer Hunting 2016

Matt's favorite time of year!  The boys and him stayed at the cabin again this year.  They saw some deer on Saturday morning and Maguire shot one up North with John.

Me and the kids were out to Mom and Dad's to take Hud out there with Daddy.  On our way back we spotted all these deer at the curve that ALWAYS has deer.  :)

Maverick saw a nice one on Saturday night!

They had their annual deer camp at the cabin, but there was also a football game to watch.  Matt said they had a good set up and enjoyed themselves.

Matt took off a couple days at the end of the week to hunt.  He took Hudson one day.  :)

He also took Lily another day!

Sooooo..... we all went on the last day.

I mean ALL of us.  Beckett included.  :)

Right as we were walking out, Matt spotted a deer.  It was just a doe.

The walk got a little long for Hud, but he did it!

Beckett did so good!  He slept almost the whole time!

I love our little family and that we enjoy doing things like this together.  This even made our Christmas card.

Just after this picture, 2 more does came out.  We were getting excited because we thought a buck would soon follow.  Then, Beckett got fussy.  I quickly undid the wrap and tried to feed him as fast as  I could.  Needless to say the deer ran off.  :(  Darn.  We about gave up when I saw some deer to the left.  I saw 5 and then Matt put his scope on them.  He said he saw 4 doe.  I said what about the 5th deer.  He hadn't seen it.  It had a rack and he told us to cover our ears.

BANG!!!  He got it!!  We saw if fall by a pivot track.  At this time the sun was completely down and we were packing up his things.

So, we got all bundled up and it was completely dark now!  We walked out to the corn field because we were excited.  We were both using our phone lights.  Hudson could not walk in the stalks very well, so him, Beckett, and I walked to the pick-up while Matt and Lily kept looking.  We picked them up and kept searching.  Grandpa came out to help look and right then Matt spotted him!  

Matt and Dad cleaned him out right then and there.  

We were driving home and a big buck stood in the middle of the road staring at us.  I couldn't get my phone out fast enough.  This is a blurry picture of him.  He was big!
