Lily's first book

Lily created a book ALL by herself.  She grabbed two pieces of paper, folded them, and taped them together in the middle.  She asked us how to spell some words and she wrote it all by herself!  We did not tell her what to write only how to spell.

Matt said, "Wow Lily, you made your first book."  Her look was so cute, "I didn't know I could make a book.  Can you believe I made a book?  It wasn't even hard."  Enjoy Lily's book!

I also wanted to show that I have 4 of Lily's photo books done!  I think Hudson wants some too!

Weekend with Gigi

This weekend, Aunt Gigi came to hang out for the weekend.  Hudson didn't feel too well on Friday night, so we just stayed in.  On Saturday, we lounged in the house while Matt worked on the jeep.

Hudson likes watching Oasis.

Then we went for the last half of the horse races.

Oh Lily.....what are you doing!?

Although we didn't win, we sure had fun!

Every place we looked at in G.I. to eat was full, so we went to Rival's.  Another family was sitting next to us that had a little boy a little younger than Hudson.  We ended up sitting them next to each other because we could tell they were eying each other.  I wish I would have had a video of them, it was soooo cute.  Hudson gave his goofy tooth smile and the other baby just belly laughed every time!  Hudson was a little ham and the other boy was just so happy.  Someone else at the restaurant asked permission to take a picture of them, they were that cute. :)

On Sunday, Virgie helped me get more organized with Origami Owl.  Lily had a birthday party at the Indoor Fieldhouse.  She had fun!

Thanks for coming to hang out with us Gigi!!!

Our little man is 10 months!!!

March 4th 2013 - Hudson is 10 months old!!  Wowzers!  He has started to do a lot of things this passed month.
*Picks up food and puts it in his mouth.  Sometimes he forgets to let it go and just sucks on it.
*He makes car noises when playing with his tractors, cars, and trucks.
*He still pretends he has a bad cough (on command).
*He loves peak-a-boo and can now do it by himself.  He brings the blanket over his face and pulls it down really fast.
*He will find me wherever I might be.  He will even start banging on the bathroom door and stick his hand under the door.
*He has mastered a high pitch squeal/scream when he doesn't want something.  (urgh!)
*He is starting to hold things up to his ear like a phone and then talk.
*He loves to walk behind his Corn Popper.  Sometimes his legs can't keep up, ha ha!
*He yells for Daddy, Lily, and me when we aren't with him or when one of us starts calling for them.
*He gets excited when we talk on the phone and wants to say something.
*Hudson has started to dance to music.  He will swing his arms and rock his body.
(Loves listening to The Thrift Shop.)
*Can climb stairs if you let him.  Not too stable on them yet.
*Just HAS to touch the iPad, phone, or computer if we are on it.
*He opens all drawers he can reach and starts taking everything out!  Then he will open drawers and put stuff in them.  We have ziplocs in our over drawer. ha ha
*He is almost able to show the #1 finger for how old he will be.  (That's hard to believe!)

So happy!

I love how he is sitting.

He is ornery too!  He kept pulling on the camera strap!

Climbing up me while I was taking photos.  Cute little tongue!

Big boy!!!

We went to Walmart to take his 10 month pictures.  They had a special of getting the CD, so I opted for that so I could print whatever I wanted and to put them on here.  They turned out pretty good.

My beauties!

Jammin'

Our song of choice in the Elsbury home: Thrift shop!  ha ha!

Dance, dance, dance

Lily had her dance performance on Sunday.  She did a super job!

She was in the middle of her two friends: Aysha and Laila

Its harder to take pictures now with Hudson in your arms.  So, Matt was the camera man this time. :)

She was excited to get a flower from Mommy and Daddy.

Great time with friends

My friends, Cala and Shannon and I have been planning a get together for a long time.  The snow storm came through and we were scared that our weekend would get ruined.  We played it by ear and by Friday afternoon they said they would be coming for sure!  Cala wanted us to meet her fiance, Mike and I was excited to see Shannon and Ryan's little boy Gavin again.  The last time I saw him was last March.  Crazy!  We lined up a babysitter to come and watch our kids and Gavin so we could go out to eat and to the horse races.

Although none of us had much luck, we did have fun!

Micaela and Mike

I missed these girls!  Thank you for coming to see us!

We went home with our pockets and purses a little lighter, ha ha!  After the kids went to sleep, we decided to try to win their money at our Horse Races!

That didn't work though.....I was the first on out and Matt had bought in a couple times.  Cala ended up winning the most!  It was such a great time being able to hang out with them.  It was long overdue and we can't wait to do it again.

coffee drinker!

I was cooking supper and I noticed Hudson was really quiet.  I look over and he found my coffee cup in my school bag.

He screamed when I took it away.
