Happy 40th Anniversary Uncle Jim & Aunt Kathy!!!

Uncle Jim and Aunt Kathy have been married 40 years! Congratulations!!!

They had a big party out at my parents' house. They had a great turn out and a band played in the driveway. It was a great time!

Augusta (Jeff and Hallie's little girl) and Lily playing together!

Oh fun! Marcy has many lipsticks to choose from!

The girls!

Lily was getting so tired, but there was too much going on. She was still awake when we left at midnight!

Uncle Jim and Aunt Kathy looking at the picture the Widdowson family got them.

Me and the girls. I like this picture!!!!

Lily is sportin' a new jean jacket that her Daddy got her. Its pretty stylish!!

Lily and Rylen

Lily has a wonderful next door neighbor, Rylen. Every day she asks about him and if she sees him outside she runs over there to play with him. Machala says he asks about Lily all the time too. They are so cute together. I think we will have our hands full while they are growing up!

This is cute! They are talking about something funny! ha ha

Cheese!!!!

One of the many times driving around the house!

Jeep Jamboree 2010

Jeep Jamboree!!!

Matt, Jeff, and I went to the Jamboree on Saturday after my MLC class was finished in Fremont. I met them in Central City for the festivities.

You can tell by the waves in this picture that the water was high!

This was after the group picture. We were in the front row, so we were one of the first to drive under the bridge. There were a lot of jeeps there this year.

There are about three jeeps that are stuck just in this area! People were getting stuck all over the place. We were lucky until later in the day!

It sprinkled on us for a little bit and then gave us this beautiful rainbow. At one point you could see a double rainbow. It was gorgeous!

Matt loves to drive in the deep water. This is a "We told you so" picture from Jeff and I! We always told him the water was too deep, don't do it. And, of course he did!

This was the second time the water was flowing freely inside the jeep. Our seats even got wet. Matt's ipod got wet and is now out of commission. Urgh!

Everybody is so helpful!!! Thanks!!!

Matt and Jeff decided that it wasn't worth getting any more water in the engine, so we called it quits. We were going to camp, but we decided to go back to Doniphan for the night and sleep in a bed. :)

Thanks for hanging out with us Jeff!!!

A little obsessive? Maybe?

Lily came to the school with me a few times this week. She got out all of my students' pointers and sorted them. They were together by size, shape, and even color for some of them. She does this a lot. Either she will be obsessive or just very clean and neat. I think its so cute!

By the way, this is my last day of summer!!! Sad! I have enjoyed all my time with Lily and I wouldn't change a thing! Woah! Its so hot out there that we have been staying inside.

First Dentist Experience!

Lily went to the dentist yesterday. We have been talking about it a lot and she was very excited! I was hoping to keep that excitement! Lily did AWESOME for the assistant and dentist. They counted her teeth and brushed on fluoride. She has 20 teeth (normal for her age) and her teeth look good! I am so proud of her!!!

Way to go Lily!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, look at those pearly whites!

Happy Birthday!!

Landon turned 4 yesterday! Happy Birthday bud!

Jessica's birthday was on the 6th! We hope you both had a wonderful birthday! Hopefully we can see you soon!

Love,
Matt, Abby, and Lily

Our deck progress

Now that Matt is back from Oklahoma we have been working hard on the deck. It has been so hot!!!

Best buds!

Measuring the posts. I really did help him, I just stopped for a little bit to take a picture or two.

In the kennel. Who wouldn't want to sit in a dog kennel?

Silly girl!

We did A LOT this day. Its starting to look like a deck!

We have almost 2/3 of the deck done! Matt is pretty picky, so we will definitely have a straight deck. Hopefully we will have it done soon and then we will stain it. Then, we will work on the fence! :)

Oklahoma!

Matt has worked in OK most of the summer. A couple weekends ago, he stayed there and invited Lily and I to come visit him. Virgie had stayed with us the night before and then we packed our bags and headed on the road. It was a 7 to 8 hour drive. LONG! Lily did a great job and we stopped 3 times to eat and go potty. We got to Matt's hotel around 10:30 that night. He was excited to see us!

Sunday morning, we went to Tulsa. We went to a waterpark first! We had a really good time. Lily loves the water this year!

Matt on the big blue slide!
I was too chicken to try it.

All smiles!!

Lily wanted to go, but she had to settle for her little slide again!

She was all smiles too!!!

Our summer is so much more fun when we are all together.

After the waterpark, we went shopping! We finally found a couple pieces to put on the plant shelf in our living room. Of course Lily got a few things, and I guess so did we! :)

For dinner we ate at Joe's Crab Shack. We had never been there before. It was delicious!

Lily actually LOVED the crab! What a crazy girl! We got her a crab shirt to prove that she ate it and to remember our fun mini family vacation!

My two loves!! Look at their cheesy grins!

Me and my babe!!

We were all tired when we got back to the hotel in Stroud. Matt had to work Monday morning and we were driving back to Doniphan.

Lily holding onto everything she brought! Again we only stopped 3 times and it seemed to go faster on the way home. I had never driven that far or long all by myself. It isn't much fun, but its not as bad as I thought. There wasn't a whole lot to look at either. Lily and I talked to each other and sang most of the way.

Here is our little Diva in her crab shirt! "I'm crabby just like my daddy!"

Friends!

Once we were settled in (kinda ha ha) we had some friends over. We usually get together and have barbecues, but no one had done it this summer. So, we had them over to play at our new house.

Adysen, isn't she getting so big?!? She was a clown that night!

Jadyn and Lily! Jadyn is such a cutie! Lily talks about her all the time!

Shelley, Freddy and Faith were there, but they left early. The also welcomed their new little girl on July 28th! Grace is adorable!!!

Erin and Zach were also there. We found out later, that they are expecting in April! Congratulations!

We have met some wonderful neighbors now!!!

Lily riding bikes with Morgan. Our neighborhood is so nice that we can let them ride across the street and they will be safe.

Lily only likes being the passenger in her Barbie car. Morgan and Lily had fun driving it!

Morgan and her mommy (Holly) invited us over to their pool in the backyard. We had a good afternoon with them.

We are so excited to be living here. We have had our other neighbors over too to play cards one night. They are Tucker, Makayla, and their little boy Rylen. We didn't have this in our old neighborhood, so we are loving it.

August already!

I can't believe August is already here! Where did the summer go? I had been hurrying along the summer so we could be in our new house, and now I want that month back! School meetings have officially started and the kids come on Wednesday. I have been working in my classroom a lot, (probably too much!) and am finally getting close to their arrival.

This summer has been so much fun with Lily. We have been able to spend a lot of time together. She is so smart and hilarious! Here are just a few things that I wanted to write down so I don't forget!

Lily says bathtub - tubub
T.V. - TB
banana - babana

*Her favorite song is "Single Ladies" and her favorite color is pink.
*She says her favorite food is pizza and cereal and then she asks "What is your favorite food, Mommy?" She has become such a conversationalist. She is definitely a thinker and its cute to watch her think.
*She has about 5 songs she can sing by herself (Sunshine, Twinkle Twinkle, ABC's, Jesus Loves me, Itsy Bitsy Spider).
*We are amazed every time we listen to the radio, because she knows a lot of the words to the songs.
*Her favorite cartoon is Mickey Mouse.
*Lily's hair is almost to the middle of her back and beautiful!
*She can count 1-13 then she says 20!
*Lily now can show you the numbers 1-5 on her fingers. It took me awhile to teach her the number 2.
*Lily writes her name (kinda) with 5 straight lines next to each other.
*She can draw a circle.
*She knows all of her colors and loves to match things that are the same color.
*Lily now can reach the peddles and rides a tricycle.
*Lily loves to ride the jeep!
*She has a wonderful memory. We were on 16th and Webb and she shouts "Our Old House!" We were shocked that she remembered that.
