Widdowson Christmas 2014

This Christmas season really came up quick I think.  It was fun to have 2 excited kids in your house, but also a lot of repeating.  We constantly counted down the days with our countdown and had so much fun with Eddie.  We all seemed so busy and knew exciting days were coming!  My whole family got together on the Tuesday before Christmas.  We lounged, played games, worked on a puzzle, ate good food and sweets and enjoyed each other's company.  The kids were so excited to open gifts.  They handed all of them out!

The boys love to help Hudson.

Legos from Gigi

Suitcase from Syd.  Perfect for our vacation.

Woo hoo, tractors!

Yes!!!  She has wanted a long maxi skirt!

Rubber boots.

He had to put them on right away.

American girl clothes!

So stylish

We gave Syd Adidas sandals.  Lily didn't know that we did and she wanted them so bad.  So, she was a little bummed when Syd opened them. :)

Helping Mav with the gift he gave him.

Fun popping noises!

The girls! :)

New swimming suit

Suitcase!

He got new swim trunks!
So did the big boys!

So cute!!!!

Girls got the same one too.  Delanie got it too, but she had changed already.

The Ferzely and Elsbury family got Mom and Dad a year of dates.  We had 12 envelopes with gift cards in them to give them a date to go on each month.  Dad and Mom loved the Subway card for the irrigating month, July! :)

He is wanting to play with toys.

We had a great Christmas with the Widdowson gang.  Thank you for all the wonderful gifts and fun!

Zonked out in his new jammies!

The next day....Christmas Eve...we finally finished the puzzle.  Once I start working on a puzzle, I can't stop. :)

We really wanted to attend the Christmas Eve service in Gibbon.  It just doesn't seem like Christmas with out Silent Night and candles! :)

Merry Christmas!!!

Goose Hunting

Matt has a new spot he can go duck and goose hunting at.  On a Sunday evening, we decided to try it.  Dave and his brother in law came out too.  Matt was excited to show us the blind and it was nice to see what he tries to explain to me. :)  Lily has been hunting with Daddy a few times this year already. :)

I love these family moments.  I know at times, my picture taking can be annoying...but these moments are so priceless!

Matt watching some geese fly over.

We didn't see much and therefore didn't get any. :(  We enjoyed our time there before it got dark.  We then ate supper at Dave and Chris' house.  Thank you!

Doniphan Christmas performance

The Rubies performed at the Doniphan Christmas.  We were smart this time and planned on eating the chili from the chili cook off.  There was some great ones, interesting ones, and weird ones. :)  Lily did a great job performing and the kids got to see Santa!

When she is nervous, lying, or embarrassed, she has this look.  :)  What a sweetheart!

Cartwheels!

Great job girls!

The Rubies with Ms. Sherri

When Santa came, Lily was excited and Hudson had mixed feelings.  Matt prompted him.  He told him to ask Santa how many reindeer he has.

He just stared him down and in a monotone voice said "how many reindeers you have?"

Lily all smiles and Hudson was just baring with us. :)

Merry Christmas!
At least he sat with him.

Still not too sure

Lily told him what she wanted.

Hudson said, "ttttooooyys" really nervous.

Silly kids.  They wanted to get in line again because they noticed Santa now had candy.  ha ha!

Adventures of Eddie the elf

Eddie came back!!!  Lily was so excited for him to come and she was always the first one up to see where he was.  She counted down the days for when she got to hug him goodbye.  Hudson enjoyed him too!  It was fun to hear the two of them talk about what he has done.  They also try to look at him really close.

Lily saw this and was standing on the carpet.  She started reading:
"nosduh dna...."
I had to tell her to move to the other side so she could make sense of his message. ha ha!

This was Hudson's favorite.  Eddie had a zip line to the kitchen light.

Until next year, Eddie!
